Opening of the Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Study Program (English)

farmasi.bku.ac.id – Bandung. The Faculty of Pharmacy at Bhakti Kencana University has been granted permission to open a new study program, the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This permission was granted based on the decree from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK) at an event held by the Regional Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region IV on April 27, 2022. The event was attended by the Rector of Bhakti Kencana University, Dr. Entris Sutrisno, MH.Kes., the Chairman of the Adhi Guna Kencana Foundation, H. Mulyana, SH., M.Pd., MH.Kes., and the BPM of the Adhi Guna Kencana Foundation. The decree was handed over directly by the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. M. Syamsuri, S.Pd., MT.

With the approval for the opening of the new study program, the Faculty of Pharmacy now offers a total of four programs: Diploma III in Pharmacy, Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Professional Apothecary Education, and Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Faculty of Pharmacy also becomes the first faculty within Bhakti Kencana University to offer a postgraduate program. It is hoped that the new study program will establish Bhakti Kencana University as a leading institution in providing top-quality education in the field of health.

Vision and Mission of the Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences

To become an excellent and innovative Master’s Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences in education and research, particularly in the utilization of natural materials to enhance quality of life. Elaboration of the Vision:

Excellent
Possess adaptive capabilities in the development of scientific knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences, which can be comprehensively utilized in education and research.
Innovative
Ability to develop or design concepts, ideas, or solutions to pharmaceutical science-related problems.
Enhancing Quality of Life
Pharmaceutical knowledge applied as efforts for preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative measures.

  1. Organizing quality Master’s education in Pharmacy in accordance with the development of pharmaceutical sciences.
  2. Managing the Master’s Program in Pharmacy professionally and supporting the tertiary education’s tridharma (education, research, and community service).
  3. Conducting research and community service that addresses pharmaceutical issues through innovative approaches.

  3. Achievement of graduate publications as well as the development of natural product patents and intellectual property rights (HAKI).
  4. Implementation and achievement of internal quality assurance (Internal Quality Audit) annually.
  5. Achievement of external quality assurance with excellent accreditation.
  6. Faculty receiving internal and/or external grants > 30%.
  7. Achievement of faculty publications in the Master’s program ≥ 80% per year.
  8. Organization of community service activities at least once per year.
  9. Conducting guest lectures involving professional experts at least 2 times per year.

The educational goals of the Master’s Program in Pharmacy are to produce graduates who can apply their knowledge in society to enhance the nation’s prosperity based on ethics and morals, and whose expertise is recognized nationally and internationally.

The Master’s Program in Pharmacy at Bhakti Kencana University’s Faculty of Pharmacy aims to produce graduates who will be absorbed into the market at the national or regional level. Graduates of the Master’s Program in Pharmacy will become educators, researchers in research institutions or universities, pharmaceutical consultants in pharmaceutical facilities, and entrepreneurs in natural materials.
